LEARNING INTENTION - To make art using a different medium.

In my holiday wreaths, I used plenty of elements of art. I used texture because of the tree branches. I used colour to make the wreath look nice and not plain. This is my holiday wreath that I made! Next time, to improve, I would tighten the branches and make the decorations look more neater. However, I think I did a good job on taking my time and making the wreath bushy and thick. Overall, I liked this project, but I got a lot of splinters with the bush.

LEARNING INTENTION - To create a crystal snowflake out of borax and water (different temperatures.  To learn why different materials dissolve at higher temperatures and crystallize at lower temperatures.

I used plenty of elements of art, these are just a few. I used texture from the borax the crystallized onto the pipe cleaners. I used colour ( blue ) to make the snowflake not look blank.  This was one cool art project! I learned that borax dissolves and crystallizes at warm temperatures.  2 things I did well were, following directions and to take my time. 2 things next time I will do to improve are, make it look more neater and to make sure that it looks okay. ( because the end pieces are almost touching ) Overall, this was an AWESOME project! It looks really cool and this is one that I will for sure put on my Christmas tree!

LEARNING INTENTION - Using different art mediums to create a string holiday ornament.

I used lots of elements of art, here are just a few. I used variety because I used to types of colour. Speaking of colour, I did use colour! Lastly, I used texture because the string is hard and bumpy. This is the string ornament I made at school! Two things I did well in my opinion are, putting colours that match, and gluing the string on properly. Two things next time I will do to improve it are, putting more string and making it look neater. Overall, I really enjoyed doing this project. It was really fun and I will for sure put this on my Christmas tree.

LEARNING INTENTION - To learn how to use different tools and to use different art medium to create a clay mask. To learn how to shape clay to create a mask.

I used plenty of elements of art, here are just a few that I used. Texture, from the " bubbles " on the clay mask. Also, I used colour to make the mask " pop. " This is my clay mask that I made! As you can tell, or if I hope you can tell, it's spongebob! I think what I did well was making the little holes to look like a sponge. Also, making the nose to make it look like spongebob's. Next time, I will work on painting it and making the eyes the same size. I really enjoyed this one!

LEARNING INTENTION - To use onomatopoeia in a Roy Lichtenstein pop art style. By using blue, yellow, red, black, and white In a pattern.

This is my Roy Lichtenstein inspired pop art! I used " HA! HA! HA! " for my onomatopoeia. I used plenty of art elements but I will tell you 3. First of all, I used colour. It makes my drawing " pop " and make it overall more better looking. Secondly, I used line. Every single piece of art has line in it. I used it to make my art look more neat. Speaking of line, it's used to make shape. I used shape to make the borders of my onomatopoeia. Overall, I really liked doing this project. Next time, I will make the colours stand out more, and to make them darker. However, I did well on taking my time to make it the best it could be and to carefully draw.

LEARNING INTENTION - To follow the certain type of anime art. While using pencil and pixlr to colour the art.

I use plenty of elements of art, variety because I used plenty of drawings, I used line, because it makes shape. And shape to create objects. This is my anime art. I used pencil, pixlr, and pic monkey. to edit it. I actually liked this activity. I learned how to draw all anime. You have to make the eyes have a " shine " and make you hair big. Also, your mouth cannot be as big. However, I'm not really the artist type but anime was fun! I did not have any dislikes on this activity. This will help me in the future because I now know how to make a collage in digital form. Also, now for other projects instead of just copying and pasting an image from the internet I can make them myself.

This is my Picasso inspired portrait.
LEARNING INTENTIONS: To use the elements of art (line, form, space, shape, colour, and tone), pastels, and proportions in creating a self-portrait using a 'PICASSO-LIKE' style.

REFLECTIONS : I learned how to make a Picasso like portrait with oil pastels. Also, I learned how to divide my face with different colours to make it look unique. Honestly, I didn't really like using the oil pastels because it was so messy and it smudged with other colours. However, it was really fun because it was the first time I did something like this and it turned out well! But I could of made the coloured it harder so there would be no absolute white.

This is my first draft of my picture! I made it from Pixlr, it's just like photoshop except it's free! We scanned our pictures onto it and voila! As you can see, only a bit of it is outlined, and the rest of it is not coloured!
This is my final Pixlr art. But I also used something else, the Elements of Art! I used colour, as you can see, I have yellowish brown, blue, aqua, and yellow! And lastly, I used value. Value is the darker and lighter colour's in the picture.

This art was inspired by Roy Licthenstein! However, any time you use art, you must use at least 2 of the elements of art, line, shape, form, space , color, value, and texture. As you can see, I added wavy, jagged lines around the " EHH! " to make it stand out in the picture. But as every can tell, I added the colors blue, yellow, red, and black. Just like Roy Lichtenstein uses.

This is the Mosaic I made for my mom at school for Mother's Day! While doing this I learned so many things, like how to safely break the tiles, and how to apply grout to make the tiles stronger. And I used the Elements and Principles of Design in my mosaic too! For example, I used patterns, variety, and color! Well how did I use patterns? If you can see it, even though my mosaic is sideways it has the letters L-I-S-A. And the on the sides it has white tile, which is a pattern! Not only did I do that, but also I used a variety of colors. Like, yellow, red, and white! In conclusion, doing this art project will help me in the future if I have to do any tile work!
