There are two types of Igneous rocks, intrusive and extrusive. Intrusive means it's in the Earth and forms from hardened magma. Extrusive means it's outside of the the Earth and forms from hardened lava.One way of remembering what is intrusive means, is that it has the word in, in it. One way of remembering intrusive and extrusive is that intrusive has the word in so it means inside the Earth!
